The ideal candidate:

  • Exceptional Engineering, highly technical, motivated leader
  • Experience running multi-site locations with a P&L >$25M.
  • Experience optimizing manufacturing floor space, aesthetics, operations, quality & safety.
  • Focused on increasing efficiencies between multi-site locations and integrating Company goals into local objectives and ensure consistency throughout the organization
  • Ensure each site is in good standing with all government agencies

The General Manager will be responsible for managing site operations for our Berlin and Wausau, Wisconsin Nelson Miller Group Locations.

Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time, as needed.

This position will report to the Sr. Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Operator with Engineering background, preferably in the HMI space, who have led multiple operating sites in manufacturing, engineering, safety and quality.

Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements ((e.g., ISO, ITAR, NAPCAP, FDA, AS9100, IATF16949)
  • Quality standards are set and achieved.
  • Productivity and yield goals are set and achieved.
  • Cost reductions and site budgets achieved.
  • Analyze and streamline processes to minimize costs and improve overall productivity.
  • Must maintain industry leading safety statistics as measured by close calls, recordable injury rate and lost time incidents.

Site Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement necessary changes.
  • Capacity is maintained to meet requirements and growth opportunities via improved efficiency, new processes, manpower, facility expansions, and/or capital.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Business or in a technical field is required

Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations

  • Proven business leader with credibility in delivering commercially viable, manufacturing/engineering solutions to a global industrial, medical and/or aerospace and defense business.
  • Strong experience in HMI design and manufacturing space a plus.

Experience in AA&D, Medical Device and Industrial industries.

  • Strong leadership skills in process development, production operations, personnel development, and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details required.
  • Skilled at developing and implementing aggressive plans in support of company goals.
  • Able to execute plans, programs and goals, motivate and engage the workforce, evaluate work accomplishments and provide effective feedback.
  • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership and competency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
