Location: all cities,IL, USA
The General Manager will be responsible for establishing, successfully expanding and leading the operations in the U.S. market. So this position requires a candidate with a strong technical background and extensive sales experience with vacuum pumps in the processing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Company Establishment:
Develop and implement business strategies to establish and expand in the US.
Perspectival, build and lead a high-performing team, including recruiting and training employees.
2. Sales Leadership:
Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract closure.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
3. Market Development:
Identify market opportunities and develop market entry strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers and business partners.
4. Technical Support:
Provide technical expertise to support the sales team and customers.
Collaborate with the R&D team at the HQ in Germany to adapt and develop products for the U.S. market.
5. Operational Management:
Ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and cost control.
6. Market Analysis and Observation:
Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to support strategic decisions.
Provide regular reports to management in at HQ in Germany.
Requirements:
1. Education:
At least, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Additional qualifications (e.g., MBA) are a plus but not mandatory.
2. Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in a senior position, preferably in technical sales and/or business management.
Proven experience in building and leading business units, ideally in the U.S. market.
3. Technical Knowledge:
Strong technical expertise in engineering disciplines and industrial solutions.
Veritably success in sales and building customer relationships.
4. Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a dynamic and international environment.
5. Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel regularly within the USA and occasionally to Germany.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
