Description General Manager – Merit AuctionsMerit Auction is looking for a General Manager to lead our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a background in the agricultural or construction industry; auction experience is a plus. This is a full-time position based out of our Fort Madison, IA office.Job Duties:Provide leadership to the entire Merit Auction TeamOversee multiple office & support personnel dailyAssist all Producers as needed and provide guidance on deal flowDevelop and maintain a positive relationship with all existing and new customers and resolve any elevated customer issuesOversee quarterly consignment auctionsCheck figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codesReview and approve customer settlements, auction agreements, payrolls, etc. to ensure accuracyGrow the brand!Qualifications Job Requirements:5+ years of recent and relevant management experience (preferably within the agricultural or construction industries)Superior communication and interpersonal skillsSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principlesExtremely organized and able to multi-taskProficiency in English and in MS Office requiredMerit Auctions provides a comprehensive range of benefits for all full-time positions that include medical, dental, vision, and a matching 401-K retirement plan along with a variety of other optional benefits.Merit Auctions is a Drug-Free Workplace and Equal Opportunity Employer.
