We're excited to announce we're opening a new cocktail bar & nightlife venue in the East Village early 2025, and we're currently searching for a General Manager to run the show.
The GM of this venue MUST be an exceptionally stylish , confident, fashionably chic, social butterfly who effortlessly commands the presence of a room.
Besides being a Rockstar, the GM will:
- Be the ambassador of hospitality, and know how to skillfully curate the guest vibe.
- Creatively build the party and continuously elevate the energy of the room (music, lighting, seating plan, etc) .
- Work closely with the door team to ensure the room is curated according to high standards.
- Create and manage daily guest lists and oversee guest communication, communication with ownership.
- Demonstrate excellent guest recognition and guest acknowledgement. Build the book of regulars and friends of the house.
- Actively manage service periods which include cocktail, light food service, and late night service, as well as exclusive private events.
- Stay up to date, network, and maintain connections within the bar and nightlife industry.
- Recruit, train, foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
- Coordinate security, FOH, and BOH staff schedules for a staff of about 15.
- Oversee the bar team to ensure they are executing at a high level of quality and consistency in association with a lead bartender and corporate beverage director.
- Manage labor budget, cost of goods, sales forecasts and work closely with the finance team to monitor financial performance of the venue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
What you Bring:
- 3-5 years proven experience as a GM preferably in both Food service & Nightlife
- Boundless energy and a solutions oriented approach to your work
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Google Suite applications, Seven Shifts, Toast, Resy
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and DOH compliance.
- Experienced and well versed in staff coaching, counseling, progressive discipline and standardized HR practices
- Must be able to work late nights, weekends, and holidays
