Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our HVAC contracting business, ensuring smooth project execution, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving team performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of HVAC projects, from initial planning and scheduling to execution and completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to field technicians, project managers, and support staff. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and client expectations. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Client Communication: Serve as an additional point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular updates on project progress. Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and goals for the team. Monitor performance against objectives, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred or equivalent field experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC operations management or a similar role within the construction industry.
    • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
    • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
