Under general supervision, the Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in all operational & financial aspects of the restaurant. The Assistant Manager helps with the staffing, equipment, product control, guest service & general upkeep of the restaurant. Business will be conducted through open communications with guests, auditing & coaching team members.Primary Responsibilities Supervise preparation, cooking, & serving of food with utmost concern for food quality.Assist with weekly work schedule & set-up organization of crew to properly handle business for different shifts.Order inventory & supplies, & check deliveries for accuracy; process invoices for payment.Properly complete weekly team member payroll sheets.Ensure delivery of the highest levels of guest service & resolve all guest complaints.Oversee store safety & implement proper sanitation practices.Ensure proper cash handling & reporting of all monies to the corporate office.Provide on-the-floor supervision to oversee line production & guest service.Assist in hiring, coaching, training, motivating, evaluating & terminating crewmembers as necessary.Make a positive contribution to the profits of the company.Oversee the completion & accuracy of all store reporting.Coach, train, & motivate Associate Manager to help them develop skills to become an Assistant Manager.Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma required, some college preferred.Management level experience in the food service industry preferred.Experience with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, & Excel.Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, nights, & holidays as required.Quick-thinker, anticipates/solves issues with excellent organizational, decision-making & guest service skills.Ability to communicate professionally in verbal & written form with guests, team members, & vendors.Ideal candidate is resourceful, innovative, enthusiastic, creative, outgoing, & passionate about achieving success.A positive style of management which encourages team member retention & promotes teamwork.Must be trustworthy, loyal, & be able to make decisions in the best interest of the company.Lion's Choice provides competitive compensation including base salary, paid time off, & a comprehensive benefits package.About Lion's Choice From its humble beginning in 1967 with its first store in Ballwin, Missouri, privately-held Lion's Choice is a quick-serve restaurant in the Saint Louis area featuring high-quality, nutritious & tasty sandwiches, sides, & drinks with great service.Guests love the real, roasted beef sandwich, made with lean top round beef, slow-roasted in the store, prepared to order, shaved thin, & served hot with a dash of secret seasoning on a buttered & toasted bun.
