The Restoration General Manager reports to the District Director with accountability for providing excellent service for those who have been victims of disaster and for restoring property and lives with a servant's heart. The Restoration General Manager is primarily responsible for managing the daily operations of the office, including direct oversight of office and field personnel. He/she will serve as Estimator and/or Project Manager of Large Claims as needed; and/or any other role needed for the branch's health. They should embody Jenkins Restorations' core values, including, Can-do Attitude, Excellent Execution, Do the Right Thing, Actions of a Servant, and Responsible Stewardship (C.E.D.A.R). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES for the Restoration General Manager:
- OFFICE STRATEGY & BUDGETING
- Restoration General Manager develops and implement office strategy with management team
- Manages budget
- Reviews profit margins and handles concerns as they arise
- Reviews and monitors cash collections on a monthly basis
- STAFFING & FACILITIES
- Restoration General Manager conducts annual performance reviews
- Handles staffing issue as needed
- Payroll review and submission
- Forecast staffing needs
- Insure facility maintenance
- CLAIMS OVERSIGHT
- Restoration General Manager supplement efforts are either ESC or Small claims as needed
- Serves as Estimator for large losses as needed
- Serves as a Project Manager for large losses as needed
- Handles warranty complaints
- Communicate Program changes to the entire claims management team as they arise
- Monitor and develop program/client relationships with insurance companies
- Field sales and other inquiry phone calls as needed
- Deal with attorney on collections and legal matters
- Invoicing approval and submission
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university with a record of strong academic achievement.
- Experience: At least one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The Restoration General Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization in the English language. TECHNICAL SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, the Restoration General Manager should have knowledge of industry related software be able to touch type and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); able to communicate via cell phone and appropriate apps. REASONING ABILITY: The Restoration General Manager should possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They should also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in the English language. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
