General Manager The General Manager will oversee all daily operations as well as play a key role in the growth strategy for the company. This role is key to our continued success in providing timely, customized, and excellent customer service to our valued customers nationwide. Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the General Manager will have an excellent opportunity to build a talented team, cultivate PTR culture and core values, lead training and development, manage safety, quality, finances, production, profitability, and inventory. COMPENSATION This position has a competitive compensation package combining base salary plus the potential for profit sharing paid quarterly after one year of employment. LOCATION Fort Wayne, Indiana; attractive relocation package offered for the right candidate. RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Operations Management: Oversee financial, operational, and employee performance for the location, including budget management, target achievement, adherence to standard operating procedures, and delivery of top-quality service.Lead by example, embodying the company's CORE values and fostering a culture of professional development and employee growth. Performance Monitoring and Accountability: Develop and implement tools and mechanisms for reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure transparency and accountability. Team and Facility Management: Manage team operations, including staffing and scheduling for reconditioning, up-fits, and production, to ensure team success and operational efficiency.Take pride and ownership of equipment quality before it leaves the PTR facility, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Training and Development: Create, coordinate, and deliver training on new and established best practices, driving consistent improvement and operational excellence. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean and 5S principles, driving efficiency, waste reduction, and maintaining a safe, organized workplace.Encourage and implement innovative solutions to enhance processes and maintain industry-leading best practices. Financial and Strategic Analysis: Analyze profit and loss statements and performance data to provide strategic recommendations for improving location performance and profitability. Vendor and Inventory Management: Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with partners like body shops, dealerships, and supply vendors.Collaborate with the materials team to ensure efficient purchasing, shipping, and receiving processes for optimal parts availability. Project and Time Management: Consistently meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment by effectively prioritizing and coordinating team efforts. REQUIREMENTS MUST HAVEOver 10 years of experience in mid to senior-level roles in operations, service, or fleet management.Bachelor's degree in business or related field.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a culture of continuous process improvement and waste elimination that yields improvements to quality, delivery, and cost.Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products - Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to drive data-informed decision-making and insights.Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.Demonstrated success as a senior leader with a strong ability to mentor, coach, and educate team members effectively.Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to support business needs and engage with stakeholders.NICE TO HAVEExperience in manufacturing, up-fit, utility equipment, rental, or automotive industry preferred.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (ERP) and/or Fleetwave (Fleet Management) EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Wellness Program: Experience our on-site CrossFit-style gym, complete with a dedicated full-time personal trainer.
