Job Overview:
The General Manager provides leadership and direction for all branch business operations, both on a daily and long-range basis. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient service delivery, exceptional customer satisfaction, and financial profitability. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a commitment to operational excellence. The General Manager will develop and implement strategies to enhance service offerings, optimize workflow, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Oversee all aspects of service operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.
* Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
* Implement strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones, enhancing the overall customer experience.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing service team, including service managers and technicians.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for staff.
* Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals.
* Identify market trends and opportunities for growth within the truck and trailer service sector.
* Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of service delivery.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits of work completed to uphold safety and quality standards.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
* Oversee inventory management processes to minimize costs and ensure adequate stock levels.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field (preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in a managerial role within the truck and trailer service industry or a related field.
* Strong understanding of service operations, financial management, and customer relationship management.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using management software and tools.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements (Office Environment):
* Must be able to lift/carry 5 lbs frequently.
* Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs occasionally.
* Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs infrequently.
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

* Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs frequently.
