We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to oversee operations and financial performance at a distribution center, responsible for packaging and distribution of aftermarket marine and OPE products. This role reports to the Vice President of Aftermarket and involves managing client needs in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive operational and financial results through strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.
- Lead weekly operations calls, reviewing sales, variances, margins, inventory, and headcount.
- Implement plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
- Develop long-term strategies and ensure alignment across departments (procurement, production, marketing).
- Maintain quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with environmental and social responsibilities.
- Build relationships with key customers, suppliers, and community organizations.
- Foster accountability for operational performance across the organization.
- Collaborate with management to meet financial goals, including budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years in manufacturing/packaging with at least 3 years in a management role with P&L responsibility.
- Proven experience in plant safety (EHS), operational planning, and budget management.
- Strong financial and operational acumen.
