Overview: Nashville Candle + Supply is a leading manufacturer of premium candles and fragrances. We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes, company communications, and product development. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and a strong background in operations management within the consumer goods industry, with a focus on growth, team leadership, customer service, and quality control.
This role will be focused on scaling operations, systems, manufacturing, and communications for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize all aspects of the manufacturing process for Ranger Station and private label candles and fragrances, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and supervise the operations team to ensure efficient systems and communication.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production processes and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to bring new candle and fragrance products from concept to production for clients.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align operations with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management within the consumer goods industry, preferably in manufacturing and production of candles or related products.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools. Cin7 Core preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
