General Manager (Sales) Australia and New Zealand

Exciting opportunity to join a Hi-Tech global leader that specializes in supporting the dairy industry, as the General Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Currently operating in over 50 countries globally, this tech leader is on a mission to provide dairy producers the best technology to enable consistent profitable production of high-quality milk.

The Role

Based in New Zealand, you will manage the Australia and New Zealand markets and will lead a team of ten that comprises sales (one based in Australia), application support team, technical team, operations admin, and will manage the marketing agency. The role will report to the VP of Business who is located in Global HQ.

Key Accountabilities will include:
  • Full accountability for ANZ business performance and financial results.
  • Establish a clear multi-year go-to-market strategy for Australia and New Zealand, aimed at profitable, sustainable sales growth and excellent delivery to customers and partners.
  • Manage, improve, and expand a strong ecosystem of channel partners at the regional level to maximize business opportunities and enable cost-effective delivery of solutions.
  • Build and develop a team in all aspects, including business performance, leadership, infrastructures, and routines, to ensure continuous scale-up and engagement.
  • Provide Global HQ with a clear and regular view of business opportunities, recommended priorities, and quantified investments necessary to build the region's business to the next level.
About You
  • First and foremost, you will be a salesperson with a proven demonstrable background of sales delivery and growth.
  • Significant business experience in senior managerial roles, managing a multi-functional unit in a global organization.
  • Proven ability to increase sales performance, direct and indirect sales experience, and passion for customers.
  • At least 3 years' experience in complex system sales; dairy farming technology is an advantage.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • A business leader with a strong entrepreneurial drive.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Leads by example, inspiring others to follow.
