ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience.

As a General Merchandise Team Leader, your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Help lead the understanding of how operational procedures impact shortage, profitability, in-store replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
  • Empower the team to create a consistent experience for our guests.
  • Assist with execution of processes in inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing.
  • Help create a scheduling plan based on monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
