* Process incoming and outgoing prisoner accounting and institutional mail. Staff also sorts incoming and outgoing mail for Human Resources, DHHS, Training Department, Transportation, Time Comp, and Central Records. Type reports, file, maintain daily reports and logs. Respond to inquiries via phone, email and/or personal contact with staff. Operate computer, calculator and computerized mailing system. Staff maintain retention schedule and organization of Prisoner Accounting Filing Room. Prints off invoices for Accounts Payables staff as needed, research and logs payment details in SIGMA Financial Program. Assists with other duties as assigned.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training. PLEASE NOTE: Overnight travel may be required for NCNET.
