The function of this position is to provide assistance to the Expungement Section of the Assistance with Convictions & Expungements Division. Duties include performing activities which may be highly confidential and sensitive for higher level attorneys performing a wide variety of duties required within the office environment. The position will be responsible for answering the incoming phone lines dedicated to expungement. Also process the mail daily for intake applications to set aside convictions, as well as those submitted through the Expungement Unit's web portal, scanning, filing sending/receiving, and maintaining confidential files. The employee will be assisting the attorneys assigned to the expungement unit's practice of responding on behalf of the Attorney General to thousands of applications to set aside the convictions filed each year under MCL 780.621 et seq.

One year of administrative support experience.
General Office Assistant E7
Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.Certain positions may require a criminal history background check.
