Job Title: General Plant Services Roles & Responsibilities • Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing setting. • Maintaining and inspecting plant fire suppression systems and other ancillary systems. • Maintaining plant grounds (mowing, weeding, snow removal, etc…). • Complete assigned SAR inspections. • Maintaining plant railroad including PM's of switches and track cleaning. • Painting (hand rails, guard rails, etc…). • Minor maintenance of ancillary equipment (mowers, weed eaters, sprayer etc…)• Minor upkeep of septic systems • Any other jobs deemed necessary by plant supervision. • Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision. • Adaptable to scheduling requirements as weather conditions change. Qualifications & Requirements. • Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety and housekeeping rules • Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions. • Ability to apply basic computer skills. • Possess basic maintenance skills, including familiarity with common hand tools and how to properly use them. • Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers. • Meet the essential physical requirements of the position (negotiate steps and ladders). • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families.
