- General production labor positions requiring working on a production line performing various kinds of meat processing and packaging tasks.
- We are a non-kill facility.
- These positions are Full Time with OT earning potential
- You will learn more about your specific schedule during interview and orientation.
- We offer 5 and sometimes 6-day work weeks.
- It requires standing in one place for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in an environment of 40+ degree temperatures
- Some positions are highly repetitive like labeling, packing boxes etc.
- Must have good hand and eye coordination.
- Must be positive and have a dedicated work ethic.
Pay Rate: $15/hr. Shift: 2nd Shift Job Type:Full-time Work Location:In person Work Scheule: 3:50pm- to work complete or 4:00pm to work complete Ending Time: End of production - NO set time for end of shift
- Monday to Friday (weekends as needed.)
Position Summary / Essential Functions: The Poultry Processing Line position is responsible for several different tasks and duties in the processing line. These duties include:
- Positioning product on belt to feed X-Ray, slitter and DSI machines for processing in the sizing department.
- Inspect product and to grade finished product, sort product on belt to separate primary and secondary products.
- Inspect product for bones and remove bones prior to processing and after processing.
- Putting product on the line, flip, arrange, straighten, or remove product off the line as needed in the different positions on the line.
- Achieve established product specifications.
- Inspecting the raw and marinated product as it goes on the conveyor belt before its cooked, as well as removing rejects.
- Inspect product on the line, and arrange product as needed to make sure the product is laying down on the belt and the pieces are not overlapping or touching.
- Typically, you will rotate on the line either before the fryer or oven.
- Observe and arrange products on conveyor belt of production line.
- Remove rejects from the production line as needed.
- Packing bags of product in boxes, sealing and labeling boxes, as well as, stacking boxes to prepare the items for shipping.
- Employees typically rotate between similar positions on the Poultry Processing line.
Position Requirements:
- Stand 100% of shift next to conveyor belt with constant arm and hand movement to perform any combination of the tasks mentioned above.
- Must be able to feed belt completely at the same speed as the belt is moving; approximately 15 filets per minutes.
- Ability to use both arms and hands to pull rejects from the production line.
- Inspect the product to ensure is being produced/processed according to standards & quality.
- Ability to follow product specifications associated paperwork.
- Ability to assemble boxes, packing bags of product in boxes, sealing and labeling boxes, as well as, stacking boxes to prepare the items for shipping.
- Inspect bags for quality, should be sealed and in good condition.
- Lift 5 lbs. bags of product from conveyor belt and place in box.
- Assure bag count per box is accurate.
- Achieve established output rates and product specifications.
- Must be able to keep up with the production line.
- Must be able stay focused on job and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to work 5 to 7 days a week and work overtime without notice as needed.
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand 100% of the shift.
- Must be able to work in cold environment, (40 degrees).
- Must be able to work at fast speed with constant arm and hand movement.
- Must be able use both arms and hands while working on the production line.
- Climb stairs as needed.
- Moderate physical effort required.
- Safety Glasses & Ear plugs must be always worn.
- Work performed in a production floor environment.
