Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team. As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for assembling components using fine tools and reading schematics. This role requires precision and attention to detail as you will be working on crucial parts of the assembly process.
Responsibilities- Read and comprehend blueprints and schematics to assemble products.
- Use fine tools, hand tools, and power tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to perform assembly tasks.
- Employ a mechanical torque wrench accurately.
- Work at the initial stage of the assembly process, ensuring the quality of work before passing it on to the next station.
- Train on the FCSD line with the goal of progressing to the level 1 SCI Line.
- Undergo 4 weeks of basic training with a team member and receive peer assessments on all work performed.
Essential Skills- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using fine tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical assembly.
- Comfortable using hands for extended periods.
- Ability to use a mechanical torque wrench.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with soldering, crimping, and inspection.
- Mechanical and electronic assembly skills.

Work EnvironmentWork in a very clean and organized environment with a focus on quality and precision. The standard shift is from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and work pants, with layers recommended for fall and winter starts as outdoor duties may occasionally be required. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing auxiliary power converters and on-board systems for railway cars.
