SUMMARYThe General Superintendent is a business partner with overall responsibility for the success and profitability of the construction operations of the Company. He or she plans for and directs all field-related functions to include logistics, safety, reporting, and mentorship, which encompasses Operations Management, Business Development, Marketing, Pre-Construction, Estimating, Scheduling, Field Operations, and Project Management. Responsible for administering corporate organizational procedures and policies by performing the primary duties outlined below, either personally or through subordinate managers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other assigned duties:Standardized preparation meetings with each trade before each feature of work starts. Deep-dive review of the approved submittals, plans, and specs before any work commences.Standardized Site Logistics Plan. All projects must update this plan on a weekly basis and post it in the site office.The superintendent must own the schedule and provide weekly updates to the project schedule. The General Superintendent must have a working knowledge of MS Project and/or P6.Monitor daily reports to ensure they are being completed correctly and pictures need to be taken from the same location.Superintendents must sign off on every Subcontract / Major PO SOW before they are issued and review the Cost Projection Reports on a monthly basis.Develop the H. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction.Fifteen years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Prior experience with Joint Venture delivery method is a plus.Experience working in the North Texas Market.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSProduction experience with Microsoft Suite, Primavera P6, CMiC, and Procore.
