  • Reads work orders and/or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Through the use of lift and clamp trucks, safely load and unload trailers, preparing goods for storage and/or shipment.
  • Safely and efficiently move rolls, pallets and other materials throughout the facility.
  • Ensure correct loading of product or other material onto pallets before moving.
  • Ensures all loads are correctly and properly strapped, braced or padded to prevent shifting or damage during transport either in house or on customers' transports.
  • Provide support to press operation by correct set up of rolls.
  • Maintain baler room support.
  • Any and all other work as may be requested by management.
  • Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for OHSE, personal protection, and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
  • Ensures consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment while in designated areas and while performing specific tasks requiring the use of PPE. Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste. Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policies. Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.
  • On a regular basis, examines work areas to keep it in a safe and neat condition, including but not limited to proper grounding, cleanup ink, and solvent containers.
  • Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc. Effectively demonstrates the ability to maintain work area in a safe and proper working order including but not limited to cleaning press area, mopping floors, emptying rag bins, blade receptacles, and trashcans.
  • Understand the OHSE obligations, actively support the policy and implement the guiding principles in everyday activities.
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma (or GED), one to three years related production experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have very good mechanical and physical ability. Lift truck operators must have and maintain safety training for operation of all company equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be ability to lift to 75 lbs is required. This position may require prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing, and speaking. Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required. Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to rotate shifts as required and be available to work more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
