Job Description:
Role Overview:

The position aims to develop and execute genetic services to PIC Customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in developing, enhancing and executing the following routine genetic services to PIC customers:
    • Product performance forecasting through modeling
    • Custom Line Improvement Programs
    • Pre- and post-sale Sire selection
    • Dam-line dissemination within customer systems
    • Routine reporting to customer and account teams
  • Understand customer goals and objectives; design product combinations and genetic service programs that meet those objectives, gain and retain customers and contribute to PICs margins.
  • Develop training and support materials on PIC products and genetic programs; explain the benefits of new technologies and enhancements to PIC products and genetic programs
  • Remain current in area of responsibility through establishing a network of industry and academic contacts, studying literature and attending scientific and industry meetings.
  • Hold confidential all product and program proprietary knowledge.
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • PhD or MS in Animal Breeding and Genetics.
  • Strong understanding of the technologies that are used to make genetic improvement
  • Selection Index construction and Data Analysis skills for pedigreed data sets
  • Excellent Computer Skills including SAS, and MS Office experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong Technical Presentation and Writing Skills
  • Willingness to travel and enter customers and partners farms
  • Qualified to work and be based in the Philippiness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Philippines Pork Supply Chain and PIC Business
  • Project management experience with research trials
  • Speak English fluently
