Experienced and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.Geotechnical Driller Qualifications:
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Experience operating drill rigs or heavy equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with machinery
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Willing to travel throughout New York State
  • A valid New York State CDL driver's license or the ability to obtain within 3 months
  • A positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on environment
Geotechnical Driller Responsibilities:
  • Mobilization of drilling equipment and supplies to various locations throughout New York State
  • Safely operate and maintain drill rigs and associated equipment to execute geotechnical and environmental investigation programs in accordance with industry standards and project specific scopes of work
  • Maintain safe work sites conforming to OSHA and project specified standards
  • Prepare boring, test pit, and monitor well construction logs
  • Install geotechnical instrumentation
  • Effectively communicate with Engineers, Geologists, Scientists, Project Managers, and owner's representatives
