Geotechnical Engineer needed in Manhattan
Our client is a growing, dynamic engineering consultancy based in Midtown Manhattan, specializing in geotechnical and structural design, construction monitoring, and forensic engineering. Their projects span some of NYC's most exciting developments, offering opportunities to work on cutting-edge designs and challenging construction solutions.
We're seeking a new PE Geotechnical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the team of about 30 professionals.
What You'll Do:
As part of our collaborative and hands-on team, your responsibilities will include:
- Geotechnical Analysis and Design: Perform calculations and reviews for construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Field Leadership: Conduct on-site investigations and oversee construction monitoring.
- Project Management: Lead engineering efforts for assigned projects, reporting to senior leadership and clients.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, design documentation, and status updates.
- Collaboration: Participate in project meetings and maintain active communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering).
- Licensing: PE license required. ICC certifications in welding, bolting, and masonry are strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Skills: Proficiency in engineering analysis software, construction drawing standards, and technical communication.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
