Northwell Health's Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is seeking a Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine Physician for its inpatient consult service at Plainview and Syosset Hospitals in Long Island, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized division. The ideal candidate should be board-certified/board-eligible in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine and have an interest in delivering hospital-based patient care. Our interdisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, and social workers provide high-quality clinical care to older adults and those with severe and advanced illness. Plainview Hospital is an acute care, 219-bed community hospital that treats patients with a wide range of medical, surgical and gynecological conditions. It has a busy same-day surgery program, a Center of Excellence for minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, is renowned for its total joint replacement program, and is home to one of the Don Monti Cancer Centers and a Northwell Family Medicine residency. It is also a New York State Department of Health Primary Stroke Center and a recipient of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With the Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Achievement Award. The hospital has been recognized by the Joint Commission for excellence in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.

Syosset Hospital is a 136-bed facility that provides the highest quality care by experienced, board-certified medical professionals. We offer a well-equipped special care unit and an emergency department (with trauma unit) that treats more than 15,000 patients each year. Our surgeons perform advanced laparoscopic and general surgery procedures in our state-of-the-art surgical suite. We're also home to centers of excellence in bariatric surgery and orthopedics—which means we offer exceptional expertise and resources in those areas. In addition, our radiology department has the most advanced high-speed CAT scan technology available.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
