In 2023, Agrace was named the #1 Top Workplace by the Wisconsin State Journal and Energage, and #79 of the top 100 companies in the country among those with an employee base of 500 to 999 workers!Hours8a-5p Mon-Fri; 1.0 FTE (40 hrs/wk)OtherOccasional work outside regular hours depending on events, donor needs, etcWHO YOU'LL WORK WITH (AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY)The Gift Officer works with the Foundation team, including the Chief Development Officer, Gift Officers, and Database Coordinators, to solicited donations and community givings that support Agrace mission and vision.HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)The Gift Officer, under the supervision of the CDO, will oversee major gift recruitment and retention as well as development of planned giving, corporate and grant relationships. This position will serve as a key Agrace contact in the community, managing a robust portfolio of identified donors and prospects. Also leading our Corporate Giving program, this individual will work collaboratively within and across teams to engage corporations in program partnerships, fundraising events, and mission-aligned funding opportunities. Demonstrating the highest ethical standards and sensitivity, this individual works in close coordination with Agrace colleagues to engage philanthropic individuals and institutions with our work, leading to major support of our programs, and achievement of our annual, special project, capital, and planned giving fundraising goals.Donor Portfolio Management
  • Work collaboratively with Agrace Foundation team, and other members of the organization to build and steward strategic relationships leading to major gift support and achieving financial goals.
  • Identify lead and potential lead donors and initiate contact.
  • Build awareness of Agrace's Legacy Circle and actively cultivate planned gifts in addition to and/or conjunction with major gifts.
  • Develop and implement informed donor engagement plans.
  • Create cases for support and impact reports that connect with individual donors.
  • Provide meaningful donor recognition and stewardship opportunities.
  • Track and record all donor activity in donor database.
Corporate Giving Program Oversight
  • Work collaboratively with Agrace Foundation team, and other members of the organization to build and steward strategic relationships with corporations and organizations in communities across Agrace's service area.
  • Build awareness of and support for Agrace's programs and events with current and new corporate partners, helping achieve event and annual giving goals.
  • Create partnership proposals and grant solicitations that connect with corporate and foundation donors.
  • Provide meaningful benefits, recognition, and stewardship opportunities to engage and retain corporate donors; coordinate with Events to ensure proper recognition at fundraising events.
Department & Program Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Foundation team (Annual Giving, Events, Grants) to further enhance relationships and create greater fundraising and outreach possibilities.
  • Collaborate with Agrace leadership/management to understand funding needs and outcomes.
  • Support Foundation and donor stewardship/cultivation events.
Other Duties
  • Participate in internal work groups, meetings and committees relative to position responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Agrace policies and protocols, state, federal, and other regulations.
  • Develop and adhere to annual department operating budget.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' related experience
  • Membership in related professional organization, preferred
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Experience in asking for and securing major gifts
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
  • Experience using industry specific software
  • Ability to communicate financial/business/technical/clinical information to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to engage staff in Agrace's strategic and annual operating plans to ensure strategies and improvements remain in practice
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property
  • Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions
  • Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs
