**Gift Shop Manager**

Full-time 40hours/week
Store Hours: 10AM-6PM daily ~ no late hours
* Must be able to work any day, including weekends
* Ordering for Gift Department
* Determine slow movers and fast performers
* Coordinate floor displays/layouts and merchandising designs
* Assembling, pricing, and displaying merchandise sold in Gift and Seasonal Departments
* Review department sales reports and assist in sales budget planning
* Attend occasional trade/buying shows with Purchasing as needed. Suggest new merchandise for consideration to Buyers
* Physical department inventory
* Follow up on Open Credit Purchase Orders
* Assist in other areas as directed by the store manager
**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers
* Work efficiently to maximize productivity and profitability
* Ability to supervise and motivate staff
* Math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages
* Must work 4 weekend days per month (May and October both Saturday and Sunday are required)
* Must work at least one closing shift per week
High School diploma/or GED equivalent
Similar work experience required
**Physical Requirements:**
* Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 30 lbs., stand for 8+ hours, kneel, sit, bend, twist, turn, reach over your head, and have good finger dexterity.
* Must be able to work in various temperatures- heat with humidity and cold
* Must be able to operate basic power tools- drill, screwdriver, etc.
