Provide instruction and classroom management for secondary students online, public school campus and Calvert Library.Nurture and maintain professional and positive relationships with classroom teachers, students, and collaborators.Strong classroom management skills.Participate in professional development workshops and training and be able to provide and receive feedback.Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and STEAM Collaborators.Communicate immediately regarding any circumstances impacting effective program delivery, rescheduling needs, accommodations for students or teachers, teachers/site administration requests, etc.Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence when communicating with both students and adults.Adjust presentations to adapt to different learning abilities.Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a team as well as independently.Maintain a positive can do attitude; be proactive, flexible, and show initiative with projects, planning, and all activities related to this position.Demonstrate a Growth Mindset as an ability to take risks and continually learn.Demonstrate and maintain strong organizational and time management skills.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Students must be currently enrolled at or a graduate of Bowie State University. Students from all teaching disciples are encouraged to apply. Position is grant funded.
