Overview:

The Office of Community Services (OCS) partners with states, tribes, territories, and non-profit and community-based organizations to reduce the causes and consequences of poverty, increase opportunity and economic security of individuals and families, and revitalize communities.

Background:

Ardent Eagle Solutions (AES) is a dynamic and growing small business providing services and solutions to the Federal Government. AES is focused on the success and growth of its employees while providing outstanding support to our customers and their missions.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage GIS databases and files on a daily basis to produce maps, graphics, and illustrations for background research and use as figures in deliverables.
  • Implement expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping software, Global Positioning System (GPS) data management, and the presentation of geographical data in summary reports.
  • Provide mapping, drawing, and Computer-aided design (CAD) assistance to project staff, as assigned.
  • Utilize GIS techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in each geographic location.
  • Extract data from GIS software and use varying analytical methods to arrive at results.
  • Recommend appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis.
  • Provide maps and data sets to clients to supplement research.
  • Perform custom application development or provide user support, as required.
Qualifications:

4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Clearance: Public Trust Education:

Bachelors Degree
