The marketing department within Goldman Sachs Asset Management is a growing quickly, with incredible opportunity to build and grow your experience and skills. The Content Strategist shapes why and how we communicate with clients through content. Were looking for experienced strategists who know their craft and can cascade best practices throughout the division. They should be able to add value to the processes and building blocks of an excellent content team, with a growth mindset that will continually iterate and improve what exists.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic campaigns and content to build brand awareness of the GSAM business and strengthen thought leadership in investment excellence
  • Partner with client coverage and product teams to understand specific commercial objectives in order to develop strategic positioning and content
  • Understand target audience needs and content behaviours
  • Create a content strategy, messaging framework, journey map, and editorial calendar around a holistic narrative
  • Assist in the production of videos, whitepapers, blog posts, podcasts, infographics and social content
  • Shape and copyedit stories that the team writes, and write some short-form content assets
  • Work closely with many internal constituents across paid media, UX, writers, social, distribution, and analytics
  • Partner closely with agencies to on-board and execute multiple assets
  • Coordinate flow of assignments, assets, and approvals before publication
  • Ensure all marketing content is compliant and meets market regulations
  • Create and continuously improve foundational, channel, and product-specific content for print and digital execution
  • Measure impact of content and marketing campaigns by collecting and analyzing data
  • Identify and execute independent projects to enhance team and divisional efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years in a content strategy role, preferably at a large brand or agency
  • The ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
  • Understanding of the asset management industry, products, clients, regulations, and competitors a plus
  • Understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative work approach and ability to work well across a dynamic global team
  • Ability to envision and maintain extremely high standards, even under deadlines
  • Proactive and motivated
