The University Bursar's Office is a customer service-oriented group that interacts with students on a regular basis. The University Bursar is responsible for university cashiering operations, student billing and collections, the student direct deposit process, campus fee reporting and reconciliation and check printing. Collections and a portion of the fiscal recordkeeping for various loan programs also fall under the responsibility of the University Bursar's office. The University Bursar is also the liaison with the Student Financial Center and the Financial Aid Office, which all work together to ensure our students' financial transactions are properly processed. This position reports directly to the Cashiering Manager of the University Bursar's Office. The Cashiering Manager of the University Bursar's Office reports to the University Bursar and the University Bursar reports to the Controller.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience which has provided the above knowledge and abilities; Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other applicable field of study is preferred.
* Experience in a university student account or cashiering environment.
* Experience using enterprise computer system.
* Comprehensive knowledge of financial record-keeping, mathematical and general office methods, procedures, and practices.
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,725 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
