The Opportunity This position works out of our
Lake Forest, IL location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division. We're empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott's diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
What You'll Work On- The primary responsibility of this role is to help build all relevant commercial infrastructure to support TwistDx Limited.
- Build and support commercial execution through tools such as SFDC for customer relationship management and Twist website optimization for ease of product ordering.
- Build relationships with all functions that support Twist including Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing.
- Build relevant training materials for internal and external stakeholders, as necessary
- Optimize demand and supply chain logistics to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely product delivery through S&OP integration, supplier form completion, LBE3 process and all activities related to operational efficiency and Abbott processes.
- Profitably grow the business in alignment with Abbott RMDx ID objectives
- Leverage and collaborate with cross functional, global teams to meet the needs of the TwistDx business, including Customer Service, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Sales, Marketing, Technical manufacturing, technical support, procurement and planning, and process engineering.
- Proactively identify new clients and build relationships to support growth targets and revenue expansion efforts.
- Enhance existing client relationships to enable the business to deliver against agreed revenue targets.
- Identify and represent TwistDx at relevant scientific conferences to promote the benefits of RPA technology in key fields (from academic research to commercial sectors) by engaging stakeholders to promote brand awareness and secure new business.
- Drive the development of financial forecasts and budgets, applying and interpreting information from key strategic accounts to generate timely and accurate data-driven forecasts, and enable reliable assessment of the routine business.
- Negotiate new business and the expansion of existing contracts, including technology license, reseller and supply agreements.
- Identify new business opportunities, including market segment focus, by conducting and reviewing market research on market trends, customer segmentation, value proposition, product positioning, competition and pricing.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote RPA technology to identified market segments, to include driving revenue via e-commerce platforms, in line with market segmentation.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years in technical and commercial roles related to Molecular Biology or similar field.
- Proven commercial experience in Molecular Diagnostics or related area
- Able to confidently and knowledgeably discuss technical molecular information with internal and external research scientists and non-molecular scientists
- Natural inspirational leader who can energize and align a cross-functional team to deliver business goals and operate effectively in a fast paced, culturally diverse business environment
- Demonstrable successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), able to convey information clearly, concisely and accurately, and adapt approach to suit varied audiences.
- Strong focus in understanding and extracting customer value
- High level of proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
Preferred Qualifications- M.S. and / or MBA Preferred
- Balanced mix of strategic and tactical focus
- Ability to undertake significant national and global travel without restriction
- Skilled in use of core office applications and processes (e.g. Microsoft Office suite).
