The Impact You'll Make in this RoleLead global division planning team for CBG; driving improvements and standardization globally in Service performance and Inventory productivity, allocation Management with Key Customers; E2E Process Metrics, Supply Chain Architecture & Capacity Planning, lead / support of division S&OP IBP processes, risk management, and talent development.

As a(n) CBG Global Division Planning Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Supply Chain to create Division strategy for delivering customer value
  • Partner with Business Supply Chain and Mfg. Operations to define value stream responsiveness/delivery expectations, as well as business inventory/cost expectations to establish planning parameters
  • Collaborate and lead service & allocation decisions with Key Account teams when in short supply to optimize service vs inventory available
  • Act as Planning voice into Portfolio, NPI strategy and decisions
  • Ensure consistent application of global standard work in partnership with Area Planning Leaders and Global Planning Process & Analytics team
  • Drive Supply Chain Architecture strategy, including global fulfillment strategy and execution for division
  • Ensure consistent SDS Planning, PIPO, and SOS changes occur globally
  • Global product availability and backlog management – facilitate global allocations if necessary.
  • Develop, communicate, and ensure adherence to supply plan with manufacturing teams
  • Supports monthly S&OP Process
  • Talent Management for Global Division Planning Organization (Hire, Develop, Assign for Organizational Effectiveness)
  • Represent CBG Planning on Division Operating Committee & Leadership Team
  • Drive improvements in Key Metrics:
    • Service – OTIF, Fill Rate for KA, Backlog
    • E2E Performance Metrics – Key Item Availability, Stock Out %, Supply Plan Attainment, Production Plan Attainment, Supplier OTIF
    • Inventory - $, DIO, NWI $/%
    • Demand Planning - WAPA, Bias

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
  • Eight (8) years of Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • E2E Supply Chain process knowledge
  • Business and Financials Acumen / Knowledge
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma and/or Business Transformation experience
  • Ability to operate at Strategic and Operational levels
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to drive results while navigating ambiguity
  • Experience leading large cross-functional projects including using project management skills to motivate and align resources
  • Proven ability to successfully influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to drive decisions across all levels of the organization

Work location:

  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to [St Paul] at least [2] days per week)
