Hanwha Aerospace USA is looking for an experienced, high-energy, dynamic individual to join its corporate team. The individual must be adept at the skills and techniques required to promote a high-performance environment. A successful candidate should have experience leading initiatives that help the business grow.
The Global Engineering Manager is mainly responsible for developing a strategic engineering approach to the corporate Global synergy enhancement and PMI in both Hanwha Aerospace Korea & the USA & Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manages the Global Tech Council.
* Discovers opportunities for new business participation.
* Operates the Tech Lab at the U.S. facility.
* Promotes the development of new manufacturing techniques.
* Develops a technology roadmap.
* Optimizes the global quotation process.
* Manages global site technical exchange meetings.
* Participates in technology PMI projects at the U.S. facility.
* Manages the development cell for improvement regarding the current manufacturing method through searching and verifying advanced technology.
* Monitors technology trend in aero engine industry and reviews the effectiveness and possibility of applications.
* Understands aviation engine drawings and related specifications to design the required manufacturing processes and related resources based on them.
* Analyzes new manufacturing methods and their cost differences.
* Monitors value stream metrics for value stream health, identifies opportunities for improvement, and coordinates release content based on product objectives. Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, quality, relationships, and coordinate work between different teams and locations throughout the value stream.
* Actively corresponds with the company's existing and potential new business partners to explore and develop new business relationships and opportunities for the company, especially in new, future aerospace business models.
* Performs engineering/technical work concerning the above activities including jobs concerning the aviation engine component's design and development/production.
* Works collaboratively with business leaders in Korea and Vietnam to leverage technology-based resources.
* Serves as the main point of contact and intermediary for Research & Development and Global engineering synergy enhancement and PMI in Hanwha Aerospace Korea and the USA.
* Assesses the capabilities of the contracting parties of the company including the equipment and tool suppliers, technical partners, and clients.
* Provides technical input or propose a plan for timely new product industrialization for the company.
* Provides engineering input and guidance to the company.
Physical Demands:
* Some lifting, moving instrumentation, performing tests in various areas of the facility required.
* Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 40 lbs.
* Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility.
Work Environment:
* Work is usually performed in a combination of office and plant settings.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 3+ years of previous release, development or product management experience with Aviation engine components.
* 3+ years as a technical leader of engineering within the Aviation engine component engineering arena.
* 5+ years of experience regarding Aviation engine component development or operations.
* Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
* Demonstrate effective leadership and analytical skills.
* Possess general PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (expert level knowledge of Excel and working Knowledge of Access).
* Demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple group efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrate solid understanding of project management principles.
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Aviation engine component manufacturing.
* Any experience with affiliated companies of Hanwha is preferred.
* Bilingual in Korean/English languages preferred.
