Basic information Job Name: Global Head of Marketing Location: New York/OVA Line of Business: Global Corporate Affairs Job Function: Investor Services Date: Friday, September 13, 2024 Position Summary Carlyle, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead and oversee all marketing functions. This strategic role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate Carlyle's brand, drive growth, and expand our presence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand management, digital marketing, and content creation, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team while also being hands-on in executing key initiatives. Responsibilities Brand Management

  • Re-develop and maintain Carlyle's global brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning of the firm with focus on areas of competitive differentiation. Target key audiences for firmwide growth across focus markets and channels.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of compelling visual and written content, including video production, to effectively communicate Carlyle's value proposition.
  • Lead the creative direction for all marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business objectives.
Content Strategy & Campaign Management
  • Develop a robust content marketing strategy that includes thought leadership, white papers, case studies, and industry insights tailored to key audiences (platforms, advisors, and end clients).
  • Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing campaigns (for both thematic areas of focus, and specific products), coordinating across functions to ensure seamless delivery and consistent messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to produce high-quality, relevant content that supports business objectives.
Digital Marketing & Paid Media
  • Drive the digital marketing strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize digital channels (website, email, SEO/SEM, etc.).
  • Oversee paid media efforts, including programmatic advertising, social media advertising, and other digital marketing campaigns, ensuring ROI and alignment with business goals.
  • Enhance Carlyle's digital footprint, with a particular focus on growing presence and engagement in the private wealth channel.
  • Develop robust analytics to understand reach, efficacy, and performance of marketing and content strategy.
Social Media & Communications
  • Oversee the global social media strategy, ensuring effective engagement and communication across all relevant platforms.
  • Manage the creation of content for social channels, including the development of a content calendar that supports brand initiatives and drives audience engagement.
  • Launch and manage a comprehensive LinkedIn campaign for executive bench to support brand strategy and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all social media efforts align with broader communications and public relations strategies.
Channel Management
  • Oversee targeted marketing strategies to increase Carlyle's visibility and engagement in key channels of focus, including global wealth.
  • Collaborate with dedicated channel coverage to create marketing materials and campaigns that resonate with financial advisors, platforms, and their clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation within key channels.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build, lead, and mentor a global marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Set clear objectives, provide ongoing feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications leadership to ensure alignment across earned and owned channels.
  • Work closely with Carlyle senior leadership to align marketing efforts with business goals, providing regular updates and insights on marketing performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the marketing function of a major business. Financial services experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in brand management, digital marketing, content creation, and campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with a deep understanding of digital marketing metrics and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ideally a strong understanding of the private wealth sector, including the needs of platforms, advisors, and end clients.
Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $250,000. In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
