About The Job

As Global Litigation and Compliance Counsel, you'll oversee Genesys' worldwide litigation docket and help develop Genesys' compliance program. You will work closely with various business teams to solve legal and regulatory issues, enabling the business to scale and grow.

The Position

This role is based in the United States and may be fully remote. The successful candidate will report to Genesys' General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

The Global Litigation and Compliance Counsel is expected to manage the Company's global litigation docket and enhance Genesys' compliance program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and manage outside counsel relationships in litigation matters.
  • Lead internal investigation efforts and develop litigation strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with business and legal colleagues throughout the Company.
  • Assist in developing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Aid in the evaluation and engagement of trustworthy business partners.
  • Enhance visibility of ethics and integrity initiatives.
  • Report progress and challenges to leadership.
  • Provide support for other company initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory trends across markets.

Job Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and bar membership in a US State or Territory.
  • Minimum of 10 years legal experience in private practice and in-house roles.
  • Substantial litigation experience with a government agency or major technology company.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in international business development and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient knowledge of legal issues in the high technology industry.
  • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Positive, problem-solving attitude with good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

The candidate must also demonstrate personal qualities such as leadership, professionalism, a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $175,500.00 - $344,500.00, with potential commission or performance-based bonuses.
