The Global Product Owner for the LEAF Patient Monitoring System at Smith+Nephew will spearhead the strategic transformation of the LEAF product line, focusing on leveraging technology to enhance HAPI (Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries) prevention solutions and services. This role is crucial in driving significant growth through innovative product development and program management.
What will you be doing?
* Product & Technical Leadership: Guide the ongoing development and optimization of the LEAF system to enhance its performance and market penetration.
* Agile Product and Project Management: Champion agile methodologies to manage the product development cycle. Facilitate rapid prototyping and iterative design to swiftly respond to market needs and technological advancements.
* Strategic Product Development: Direct critical initiatives to enhance product functionality and market fit. Apply technical acumen to oversee the integration of new features and improvements.
* Market Positioning and Growth: Formulate and execute strategies that solidify LEAF's position as a leader in HAPI prevention. Focus on creating a comprehensive digital health solution that sets industry standards.
* Cross-functional Team Leadership: Lead and co-ordinate a team of specialists in a dynamic, agile environment. Encourage a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic foresight.
* Collaboration with Business Units and Enterprise Functions: Work closely with business unit and enterprise functions to ensure strategic alignment and seamless integration of the LEAF system across the organization. Facilitate communication and collaboration between product teams and commercial leadership to harness collective expertise and drive unified business objectives.
* External Innovation Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with external innovators and technology leaders. Drive collaboration efforts that align with LEAF's strategic goals, bringing in pioneering solutions and perspectives that enhance product capabilities and market presence.
* Act as a global expert on the LEAF Patient Monitoring System, providing guidance and sharing best practices across the organization.
What will you need to be successful?
* International travel required as well as frequent travel within USA.
* BS or BA degree in Health Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
* Consistent track record in product management within the healthcare sector, preferably with medical devices.
* Demonstrated expertise in digital health solutions and the application of technical knowledge to product development and program management.
* Validated ability in leading agile teams and implementing iterative development methodologies.
* Experience in leading product transformations and managing high-growth portfolios.
* Experience in presenting to C-Suite level customers and stakeholders.
* Confirmed product management experience in the healthcare technology sector, with a focus on Quality Assurance and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
* Prior experience in fostering and managing external partnerships and collaborations with technology innovators.
* Familiarity with regulatory environments and compliance requirements in medical devices or health technology fields.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $150,000-$180,000 USD annually.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
