Position Overview: The Director, Global Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing all worldwide supply chain activities, serving as the leading source of supply chain expertise within the organization. This role provides strategic leadership and management of the company's entire global supply chain organization, including both internal manufacturing and external contract manufacturing. Additionally, a focus of this role is to manage the supply chain to fulfill the company's sustainability efforts and roadmaps. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for strategic and tactical supply chain activities globally.
- Develop and execute a supply chain strategy aligned with the company's strategic plan, ensuring stakeholder needs and linkages with their strategies.
- Regularly report on supply chain activities to the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of relevant Key Performance Indicators.
- Develop annual supply chain goals and objectives to support the company's business strategy and investment plan.
- Evaluate all supply chain systems and processes, recommending and implementing enhancements to achieve near-term and long-term objectives.
- Retain and develop a first-class team responsible for providing supply chain support to all operations worldwide. Foster a culture of accountability and commercial mindset.
- Lead efforts and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure readiness of all supply chain activities.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing.
- Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends, and forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with third-party suppliers, service providers, and contract manufacturers.
- Drive initiatives to integrate sustainability into supply chain operations aligning with the company's sustainability goals and roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in managing global supply chain operations, including both internal and external manufacturing.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of global supply chain processes, logistics, procurement, and sustainability practices. Excellent strategic planning and execution skills. Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software. Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management. Exceptional leadership and team development abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex supply chain concepts to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Sustainability Focus: Experience in integrating sustainability initiatives into supply chain operations.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Willingness to travel as needed to support global operations.
