Job Summary:

We are seeking a Global Supply Manager to support Electronic Components and New Product Introduction (NPI). This role involves managing supplier relationships, interfacing with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing, and contributing to the development of our global supply chain strategy. The Global Supply Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of world-class products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Collaboration:

    • Work with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify potential suppliers that meet our expectations and timelines.
  • Sourcing and Negotiation:

    • Create RFQs, review, analyze, and clarify quotations from suppliers, and develop sourcing recommendations that balance cost, quality, lead time, and technical requirements.
    • Negotiate favorable contracts, including parts pricing, tooling costs, and engineering services (NRE/EDT).
  • Production Management:

    • Collaborate with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for prototype parts and tooling.
  • Supplier Development:

    • Manage tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds, and production starts, addressing delays or issues proactively.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and act as the primary contact for all commercial issues, providing internal updates on sourcing status, parts availability, and cost.
  • Travel Requirements:

    • Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience:

    • 2-4 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering related to electronic components.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Understanding of electronics with extensive experience sourcing components such as resistors, capacitors, microprocessors, transistors, and diodes.
  • Product Launch Experience:

    • Experience in product launch preferred.
  • Analytical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
  • Creative Problem-Solving:

    • Ability to creatively and effectively mitigate unforeseen challenges.
