Overview: Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch is seeking a highly motivated Global Trade Partner to join our team in the aerospace sector in Anaheim, CA. This role involves managing and optimizing international trade operations, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and implementing strategic solutions to enable cooperation with team members and customers around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export control laws, and customs requirements for aerospace products. Stay current with changes to laws and regulations and align business processes accordingly.
- Export License Strategy and Management: Identify and implement the right export licenses that allow collaboration with international co-workers and commerce with international customers. Manage and maintain licenses as required, and train other stakeholders involved in export license process.
- Product and Technical Data Classification: Create and lead a robust export classification process to assign the correct ECCN and HTS codes to all new products and technical data.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential trade risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Process Automation: Review and select the right global trade tool for the business that can plug into ERP and PLM systems in order to automate aspects of global trade compliance.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with international partners, government agencies, and trade organizations to facilitate trade operations.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on global trade best practices and compliance requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on trade performance, market trends, and compliance issues for senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in global trade, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in aerospace or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, ECCN classification, export licenses, tariffs, and customs processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create clear work instructions for training purposes.
- Proficiency in trade management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with international export of commercial and military aerospace products.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
Salary Range: $80k - $120k depending on Experience and Education;
$130k - $150k for a Senior Global Trade Specialist
