Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the glue line, ensuring team productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training for Glue Line Operators.
  • Read and verify sales orders, work orders, and ensure correct materials (fabric, steel, backing) are prepared.
  • Monitor machine settings, temperatures, and glue application levels to maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products for defects such as ripples, exposed glue, or incorrect labels.
  • Coordinate team activities such as stacking, labeling, and final inspections.
  • Report scrap and outages daily to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift.
  • Act as a point of contact for team concerns and escalate issues to the Value Stream Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Knowledge of glue line operations, raw materials, production processes, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively lead and support a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute to team efforts.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma is preferred; GED required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with exposure to heat and cold.
  • Regular use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to hear and differentiate between sounds.
  • Visual acuity, including distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
