This is a two-team state-of-the-art facility designed for year-round use through Spring Training games, amateur baseball, non-baseball sporting events, community events along with banquets, corporate events, weddings and more.Summary/Objective:In this role, you will be an essential part of the game experience and help build The CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will be responsible for retrieving bats and baseballs during games; as well as helping set up before games and clean up at the end of every game. You will also be asked to perform a variety of other tasks that take place to maintain the integrity of the clubhouse. - Safely transporting patrons in passenger golf carts amongst Spring Training facilities (mostly gamedays) via courtesy shuttle service.
- Prior to shift, inspecting cart to ensure they are in proper operating order (to include fuel levels, seat coverings, tires properly inflated, headlight functionality, overall cart cleanliness, etc.).
- Working with Stadium Operations full-time supervisory staff to ensure proper reporting procedures should any issues arise and need to be addressed (with equipment or patrons).
- Reference and comply with golf cart safety training program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education or Experience and/or Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to provide excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Must always represent the Ballpark in a professional manner.
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:This job operates in a stadium setting. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Employee must be alert at all times due to the threat of bats, balls, and other objects liable to be present and active.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, hear, touch frequently. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time to drive the cart during required shift. Ability to work in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue in all weather extremes for extended periods of time. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch to lift/move/carry items weighing up to 20 lbs. on occasion.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time/seasonal position.
