Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent(s), Field SupervisorEmployment Status: Seasonal; Full TimeFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptJob Summary:The seasonal greenkeeper works closely alongside all staff members in all aspects of turf equipment maintenance. This position requires a professional, driven individual who operates with the highest expectations and efficiency. Strong time management skills are required as it relates to completing necessary tasks in a timely manner before play. Individual understands the requirements and demands of turf maintenance equipment at a high-level private facility.Date Position Available:April - November 2024RequirementsEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greens section work
- Fix ball marks, tee & fairway divots
- Hand rake bunkers & cart-paths
- Blow debris & dispose of clippings
- Mow greens, fairways, primary rough. Walk mow tees & collars, as well as walk mow rough around greens & bunkers
- Triplex mow approaches and runoffs
- Rotary mow green and tee surrounds
- Spot water fairways/rough
- Pump water from the golf course
- Native work
- Perform any other reasonable job-related duties as instructed
Qualifications:
- Must be motivated by demanding work environment
- Must possess a strong work ethic and attitude
- Weekends, holidays, and evening work
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable and predictable attendance is required
- Working knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools/equipment
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stretch, bend, twist or reach, use hands to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds, and to lift lighter objects overhead.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
