What does a Golf Merchandiser do?
- Oversee golf merchandising concessions; develop, execute, budget, price, and maintain inventory levels.
- Consistently manage vendor performance to maximize profitability and achieve financial objectives. Work with NGBA, AGM, and other industry partners to stay current on industry trends. Provide guest satisfaction and maximize business performance and profitability.
- Demonstrate the ability to train, motivate, and develop golf shop sales staff to ensure effective sales and service performance and techniques and product knowledge including sales contests and education of upselling techniques.
To be successful as a Golf Merchandiser, you'll need:
- To be a preferred member or registered apprentice in good standing with the PGA of America and must maintain this membership in good standing throughout employment.
- To have at least 3-5 years' experience with merchandising and retail buying.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
