Position DescriptionSerco has an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to provide support to our Corporate Functions and Consultancy+ Business Unit. Our passion for people has resulted in Serco being named Forbes Best Large Employer  and Best Employer for Women.  This role reports into the Sr. HR Manager and can be 100% Remote.This role can be worked from our Herndon, VA office or 100% remote.In this role, you will:Serve as a touchpoint for all employee and manager questions delivering direct front-line business supportInterpret information and provide guidance on HR policies and practicesPartner with leaders on implementing people strategies to include developing talent, succession planning, employee engagement and retention strategies, and change management.Offer day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Partner with Employee Relations COE to conduct thorough and objective investigations and provide recommendations for closureWork closely with other HR COEs such as Employee Experience, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, HR Compliance and Compensation to support HR initiativesMaintain current knowledge of relevant human resources procedures and practices and relevant labor lawsQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, military, or work experience8 years of related experience, in Generalist/Business Partner roleMust be eligible to work in the U.S.Experience working in Government Contracting IndustryExcellent computer skills in MS Office suiteComprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own discipline and knowledge of othersProactive approach in anticipating problems and developing solutionsAbility to think holistically about the strategy of the business and talent related processes, programs, and policies to support the business' goalsDemonstrated knowledge of employment law and experience providing HR support to both senior managers and front-line managersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to articulate ideas in a clear and persuasive manner - ability to influence business unit or functional leadersAbility to listen/interpret the challenges of the business, challenge business leader assumptions, coach leaders about talent implications of decisions and present alternate explanations and ideasTo be comfortable with ambiguity and frequent change, able to synthesize a wide range of information and interested in collaborating with individuals throughout HR and the organizationThe ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to evaluate data and metrics (including key HR performance indicators such as attrition, engagement, and recruitment data) to identify trends and develop recommendationsStrong inductive and deductive reasoning skills, as well as creativity and innovationAbility to travel up to 10%.Additional desired experience and skills:Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM -SCP) preferredIf you want to join a great company and team apply now for immediate consideration!#J-18808-Ljbffr
