POSITION SUMMARY:
The Government Grant Development Officer (GGDO) will play a pivotal role in securing government funding to support NMIC's programs and strategic initiatives. As the primary author of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), the GGDO will collaborate closely with program staff to draft, edit, and finalize high-quality submissions, inclusive of all attachments. This role will involve project management of the entire proposal development process, ensuring all components are effectively coordinated and deadlines are consistently met.
In addition to writing, the GGDO will conduct thorough research on prospective and current government funders, ensuring that NMIC accesses public funding opportunities in a timely manner. By effectively utilizing available resources, the GGDO will contribute to the success of NMIC's strategic initiatives and advancement of our mission.
Secondary responsibilities will include opportunities to support non-governmental fundraising efforts by drafting funding pitches, Letters of Inquiry (LOIs), and proposals during periods of reduced government RFP activity, as time permits.
This position offers a hybrid work environment and requires close collaboration with senior management, program directors, finance staff, and the development team. This position's primary supervisor is the Development Director, and it will receive functional matrix supervision from the Director of Finance for technical finance issues.

NMIC offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; paid time off consisting of 20 vacation days, 15 sick days, 5 personal days, 11 agency holidays, plus the week off from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day; a 401k with agency contribution; and other benefits.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
