POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Security Administrative Assistant, under the direction of the Director of IT Security, is responsible for cybersecurity team coordination and administrative and operational tasks in support of the entire IT Security team. This position will assist the entire IT Security team with maintenance of technical documentation and coordination of cyber security activities and communications across the Tribe's government, health, gaming & hospital and enterprise verticals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
? Administrative Support:
* Assist in maintaining and organizing all IT Security team documentation, policies, procedures, reports, plans, budgets and communications.
* Coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, and manage calendars for the IT security team.
* Will back-up IT Helpdesk resources to field incoming customer assistance requests
* Handle general office tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, taking meeting minutes and managing correspondence.
? Compliance and Documentation:
* Assist with documentation and maintain data related to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments.
* Update and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Work with the IT Security team and customers to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal security policies.
? Training and Awareness:
* Assist in organizing and conducting security awareness training sessions for employees.
* Help distribute educational materials on security best practices.
? Vendor Administration:
* Collaborate with vendors and third-party security partners to ensure that services are provided according to existing agreements.
? Incident Response Support:
* Provide support during security incidents, including documentation and coordination of response and mitigation activities with relevant teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position medium with lifting of 50 pounds maximum. Physical factors include constant use of near vision and typing; frequent walking, sitting, kneeling, use of midrange/color vision; and occasional standing carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, crawling, reaching, manual handling, use of hearing, smell and far vision, depth perception and field of vision, typing and bending. Working conditions include occasional exposure to extreme cold and noise. Potential hazards include frequent computer and equipment use and occasional exposure to moving mechanic parts, electric shock, client contact and medical equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Three years of experience in an office support role required.
Certification/License: Must undergo a Criminal Background Investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver's license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have organizational skills and be able to plan, prioritize and manage workload to meet goals in a timely manner. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person, in writing, and by telephone and email. Strong problem-solving skills required. Must be able to establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
