GRADE 5 PLANT OPERATOR - GR. EFULL-TIME (37 HOURS PER WEEK)WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTPAY: $25.96 - $31.91 PER HOUR (FY 2025)SCHEDULE: Monday to ThursdaySkilled manual work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of specialized stationary equipment and machinery at the Town's Wastewater Treatment Facility; all other related work as required.Under supervision of the Chief Plant Operator, performs responsible duties requiring some judgement in the careful operation of assigned equipment to avoid breakdowns and potential damage to public property.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or GED, plus three years' experience in Wastewater Treatment Facility operations, maintenance, and repair, including experience with electric motor or diesel engine and centrifugal pumps; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.Considerable knowledge of the Town's Wastewater Treatment Facility and of the pumping and treatment equipment.Mechanical knowledge and ability; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.Grade 5 license required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
