Job DescriptionThe grader will work with the faculty member in the grading of class assignments and exams-most will be on paper, and grades will be entered in Canvas. The intensity of the workload will vary throughout the semester. The course has 2 exams (Midterm and Final). The course will have about 60 students and will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00am-10:50am. The grader is not required to attend class; however, ability to attend once per week is preferred.
- 90% grading assignments and exams
- 5% entering grades and managing the gradebook on Canvas
- 5% other administrative duties

This position requires an understanding of Canvas and organizational skills.During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)Position OverviewThe grader will work with the faculty member to grade assignments weekly and enter grades into Canvas.Per the State of Kansas, student employees may hold concurrent appointments not to exceed maximum appointment and hours worked levels.
