Position DetailsPosition InformationRequisition Number Stu03807P Home Org Name Admin-Science & Math Division Name College of Sciences & Math Position Title Graduate Assistant - COSAM Career Services Working Title (if different from Position Title) Job SummaryThe Office of Student Services within the College of Sciences and Mathematics is seeking a highly motivated, futuristic thinking, and hardworking graduate assistant starting in August 2024. The position works directly with the Career Services unit within COSAM Student Services to provide assistance regarding streamlining engagement opportunities within the college. This role will assist office staff in providing these and other services to COSAM students, faculty, alumni, employers, prospective students, and guests.Essential Functions* Serve as an ambassador for COSAM Student Services by providing first-class customer services to students, employers, and other COSAM guests* Responsible for performing administrative and clerical duties to include data entry and gaining in-depth experience with Handshake, Salesforce, Symplicity, and the entire Microsoft Office Suite* Assist COSAM Student Services staff with set-up, clean-up, and operations for COSAM career events* Provide peer to peer career coaching support to students on career related topics including, but not limited to, resumes, cover letters, and assist in supporting job search skillsMinimum Qualifications* Current Auburn University graduate student pursuing a degree within the College of Business, Education, Human Sciences, Liberal Arts, or Sciences and Mathematics.* Must currently possess and maintain an Overall & Major GPA of 3.0 or higher.Expectations:* Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week* Commitment to attend weekly development trainings as scheduled* Professional dress and demeanor required* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team* Ability to maintain confidentialityPreferred Qualifications Pay Rate $1,224.29/monthly Work Hours 20 City position is located in: Auburn State position is located: AlabamaPosting Detail InformationPosting Date 09/05/2024 Closing Date EEO StatementAUBURN UNIVERSITY IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
