ECU Office of Innovation and Engagement is looking for a graduate student to serve as a Data and Analytics Graduate Assistant. This position is ideal for graduate students interested in applying their analytical skills to real-world projects and contributing to the university's mission of fostering innovation and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Learn key objectives associated with advancing the research, engagement, and innovation enterprise of the university.
* Assist with data analysis initiatives, including data collection, processing, and interpretation for various projects.
* Help develop and implement analytical frameworks to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.
* Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
* Mentor undergraduate students in data analysis techniques and project methodologies.
* Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify data-driven solutions for university challenges.
* Meet with faculty to understand research, engagement, and innovation priorities.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
* Prefer students pursuing a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a STEM related field.
* Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SQL, or Tableau).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Experience working in collaborative work environments.
* Interest in using data and artificial intelligence to inform decision making.
